Christmas

As christmas came and went. I had plenty of time to look back at this entire year. My grandsons started our christmas weekend with friday night.We had a family christmas party in which we had like 25 people in the house all exchanging gifts and eating a lot of food. We had a huge menu, some of the items were turkey,ham, greenbean casserole,rolls, corn casserole,deviled eggs, all types of appetizers. Tons of deserts. Good times and good company. I missed a few things this year. Not having my daughter here with me and my grandsons is always hard. My son lives in florida and was there. Then as everyone was just sitting around talking and enjoying things. I started thinking about what next year has to hold the birth of my new granddaughter, my son turns 18, graduates high school and leaves for basic training all within the first 7 months of the year. So busy already. School is going great enjoying the new friends I am making and all the new things I am learning. Well I will post more later. Got to get going and make room for all the new stuff the kids got. I am beginning to think I need a house just for all their stuff. Good times.

As the holidays approach

As the holiday's approach, I sit here and reflect what this year has brought. I have been through a lot this year. I gained full custody of my two beautiful grandsons,whose pictures beautifully is displayed on my blog. I however lost my daughter, due to unfortunate decisions she has made. I did find out I am going to be a grandmother again, this time I am gaining a granddaughter. Her name is to be Kaitlyn Marie, she is to join our family in March. It is a sad but joyous time in my life. I look back on this year and how well I have done with school. Also, as the holidays approach I would like to remind everyone to please think of our service men and women who can not join their families this year. I have one of my dear friends in Iraq for the third time. He is not going to be with his parents, nor his son this christmas. To honor him i plan on placing an empty dinner setting with ours. Other than that not to much to really indulge on this first posting. I do however plan on posting poetry I have written as well as my receipes. Please by all means anyone who wants to use the receipes do so. They all turn out great and I have never had a complaint.
